The 60th anniversary of the founding of Taekwon-Do was honoured and celebrated in Austria in the best possible way - with a national seminar. The ANTS (Austrian National Taekwon-Do Seminar) took place for the 7th time on 11th April 2015.
The seminar was, as in the past, very successful and a great experience for all 45 participants, who travelled from all over Austria to take part in this event.
Participants were split into 3 groups this time, in order to practice patterns and techniques with a focus and detail appropriate to their respective level: 8.-4. KUP, 3. KUP – I. DAN, II. DAN – IV. DAN. The groups received instruction from René Walter VI. DAN, Ruaridh MacCallum VI. DAN and Elmar Kickingereder VI. DAN with the assistance of Christian Sigl IV. DAN.
In the afternoon, a two-hour umpire course was held by Gerald Bauer IV. Dan and Struan MacCallum III. Dan (Austrian UMPIRE Committee), with the goal of informing all participants about new developments conveyed at the last International Umpire Course in Hungary.
Hommage was paid to the inventor and founder of Taekwon-Do, Gen. Choi Hong Hi, on this special occasian by making this photo:
