The Polish Taekwon-Do Association is pleased to inform you that four new articles have been published in 2022, the author or co-author of which is Prof. Jacek Wasik, Ph.D. is a long-standing member of the AETF Scientific Research Committee until 2021, President and Head Coach of the Sports Academy in Czestochowa and professionally Head of the Department of Kinesiology and Health Prevention at Jan Dlugosz University of Czestochowa, Editor-in-Chief of the international scientific journal “Physical Activity Review”, e-ISSN 2300-5076 (indexed WoS, Scopus).
“Articles 1-3 deal with the biomechanics of Taekwon-Do including the revealed phenomenon of Kinematic Target Effect (KTE) and my proposed KTE coefficient. This can help to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the tested person. Application, for example, in the selection of players or people sent to rehabilitation.
Article 4 deals with the psychological assessment of TKD players. It is interesting to note that most studies indicate that women have a greater “anxiety state” than men. Our research shows that there is no difference between the TKD players tested, which can indicate that perhaps Taekwon-Do reduces anxiety in women.” – summarized Prof. Wasik.
