TAEKWON-DO FOR THE RIGHTS
The TAEKWON-DO FOR THE RIGHTS project with № 101133552 aims to encourage young people who actively practice sports to increase civic participation in their communities by establishing interaction with law enforcement agencies and thereby improving social inclusion.
The project will bring together young Taekwon-Do players aged 12-17 years and adults to promote together sports activities in their communities and active involvement in the local life of adults and young people.
The project aims not only to popularize Taekwon-Do practices for a healthy and active lifestyle, but also to apply the values of Taekwon-Do as a tool for building trust between young and old, endurance and resilience. The project will create a new concept for a sporting event that encourages athletes to engage in civic engagement as a precondition for participating in the event. It will be held in October 2024 in Sofia, and during its conduct, numerous opportunities will be provided for the participants to build connectivity and intercultural understanding.
TAEKWON-DO FOR THE RIGHTS is a complementary project to two previous projects of the Central Police Taekwon-Do Club – Taekwon-Do for the mind – get a black belt in values and BeValue Reload.

Each participating team will find a role model from the National Police or other law enforcement agencies, a famous athlete, female athlete/police officer, outstanding young people with achievements in Tae Kwon-Do who will talk about their training regime, how this regime targets healthy lifestyle, how sports contribute to professional orientation, values in sports, etc. The major events of the Project including the Taekwon-Do sports competition with all Taekwon-Do competition disciplines according to ITF Competition Rules will be held in ASICS Arena in Sofia, Bulgaria, on 17-21 October 2024.
