The Open Dutch is an ITF Taekwon-Do tournament organized by Difesa Sports, with the head of organization GM Willy van de Mortel. Competition is open for youth, pre-juniors, juniors and seniors in the A, B, and C-class for the categories sparring and patterns. Please note, there is no D-Class and the competition is limited to 700 competitors also this year. For the A-class pre-juniors and juniors and seniors there will also be overall sparring, but this year it will be point-stop sparring.
In our organization, tournaments that are open to all associations are held very frequently. We have a clear regulation on this in the by-laws: Article 6.2. Open Taekwon-Do ITF Tournaments will be open to our ITF members ONLY. For special cases, an organizer wishing to invite participants and/or officials from another Taekwon-Do organization must request permission through the NA/AA from the ITF.
