This weekend marked a historic moment for the All Europe Taekwon-Do Federation (AETF), as the newly appointed committee chairs and representatives gathered in person for the first time at the world-class facilities of La Nucia, Spain, the city of Sports.
Led by AETF President Master Tomaz Barada, Vice President Master Paco Ferrando, General Secretary Master Stephen Ryan, and Technical Director Grandmaster Wim Bos, the meeting brought together leaders from nearly all AETF committees. The meeting also had the honour of being joined briefly by Grandmaster Juan Ferrando and by Mr Sergio Villalba, from La Nucia Sport; City of Sport, who we thank for their ongoing support.
The agenda covered:
- Presentations from each committee
- Strategic alignment with AETF’s long-term goals
- Enhancing AETF Championships and the competition system
- Planning for courses, webinars, and inter-committee projects
- Shared dialogue on proposals for rule revisions and athlete-friendly improvements
This meeting was a milestone in collaboration and unity, with each committee contributing directly to shaping the strategic direction of the AETF. It laid the foundation for ongoing progress and cooperation as we now move into the next phase—with full input from all committee members across Europe.
The work continues—but the energy, ideas, and spirit of teamwork shown in La Nucia have set a powerful tone for what’s to come.
